Details

Amazingly fast, light, efficient and beautiful, Mavic's Cosmic Carbone SLs are turbocharged wheels built to cheat the wind. They combine the speed and aerodynamics of deep-dish carbon fairings with the convenience and unparalleled braking power of aluminum clincher rims for wheels that are as fast as they are functional. Plus, the SLs also feature Mavic's precision hubs and air-slicing aero spokes for maximum speed everywhere you ride.

For compatibility with Shimano and SRAM 9- and 10-speed derailleurs:
Use a Mavic M10 wheel, leave the positioning wedge delivered with the wheel on the freewheel body, then mount a Shimano or SRAM 9- or 10-speed cassette.
For compatibility with a Campagnolo 10- and 11-speed derailleurs:
Use a Mavic ED10 wheel and mount a Campagnolo 10- or 11-speed cassette. Or, use a Mavic M10 wheel, remove the positioning wedge from the freewheel body, then mount a Mavic M10 cassette.
If you have any questions regarding derailleur or cassette compatibility, please call or stop by.

    Comments:

This wheelset is a great entry level carbon clincher with aluminum braking surface. First off, compared to most other wheels in its class and even above it has fantastic graphics. The wheels feel solidly made. First time out with this wheelset on the bike my speed improved by 1.5mph, shaved about 6-7 minutes off my usual course time. The 52 size seems to be just perfect for improving speed and improving aerodynamics against the wind. Although not a sprinting wheelset, am able to hold speed easily and with less effort once up to speed. Wheels are quiet, give a nice comfortable ride with a hint of stiffness. Climb well also.

    Comments:

Wheels are great for fast paceline rides, mostly flat or rolling terrain. Not a good climbing wheel due to slightly heavier. at 18-20MPH, this wheel really begins to pay off. Aerodynamics over come weight and it feels like I'm riding on a straight string. Rode at Hotter N Hell 100 and it was amazing.
